Privacy Policy

Effective July 9, 2026 · CoinForge Studio is operated by Hratch Simonyan ("we", "us").

The short version: we collect as little as we can get away with. The desktop app collects nothing at all. The hosted app needs an account and stores your preferences — and, on paid plans, the projects you choose to save to the cloud. There are no ads, no analytics trackers, and no selling of data — there's nothing to sell. Your coin designs are yours.

What we collect, and why

Desktop app & browser mode (no account)

Nothing. The Windows app and local browser mode run entirely on your machine, need no account, and make no network calls to us. Projects are files on your disk or data in your own browser. The AI background-removal feature runs locally on your device — images you edit are never uploaded, anywhere.

Hosted app (app.coinforgestudio.com)

Account details — when you sign in (with Google or email), we store your email address, display name, and profile photo, plus sign-in timestamps. This is what the account gate exists for: knowing who a saved project belongs to.
Preferences — small settings like your chosen metal preview and units, synced so the app feels the same across devices.
Cloud projects (paid plans) — projects you deliberately save to a cloud slot are stored, including any images you placed in them. Projects saved locally never leave your browser.

Payments (paid plans)

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we receive only your subscription status (which plan, active or not) and the billing details Stripe shares with merchants (such as your name, email, and country). Stripe's own privacy policy governs their processing.

This website

coinforgestudio.com has no analytics, no ad pixels, and sets no marketing cookies. The hosted app uses the cookies/storage required for sign-in sessions (Firebase Authentication) and nothing more.

Where your data lives

Account data, preferences, and cloud projects are stored on Google Firebase (Google Cloud) servers in the United States. Like any cloud provider, Google may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs for security and operations. If you are outside the US, you consent to this transfer by using the hosted service.

What we never do

No selling or renting personal data — to anyone, ever.
No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no analytics profiles.
No training AI models on your designs.
No reading your projects — they're touched by automated systems only (storage, backups), unless you explicitly ask us to look at one for support.

Your rights

Email contact@coinforgestudio.com and we will, promptly and without drama:

send you a copy of the data tied to your account,
correct anything inaccurate,
or delete your account and everything attached to it (cloud projects included). Deletion is permanent — export your .coin files first.

Cancelling a paid plan does not delete your data; your cloud projects above the free plan simply become read-only so you can always retrieve them.

Children

The hosted service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. The desktop app has no account and collects nothing, so young makers are welcome there with a parent's supervision around the laser, not the software.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it on this page with a new effective date. We won't quietly expand what we collect.
